New Business
Taste of Wedgewood Park/Easter Egg Hunt – date is Mar. 19th at 11:00. A flyer will go out with the egg hunt registration. Karen Parkinson is having them printed. Our flyer for “Taste of Wedgewood Park” will be on the back. Food will be international in focus. Discussed ways to encourage participation in events so that people so not think they cannot attend the “Taste of Wedgewood Park” if they don’t have children participating in the Easter egg hunt.

Park Clean Up – date is May 21 from 9-12 noon. Possible tasks include raking, mulching, picking up litter, planting and cleaning the tot lot equipment. Arlene suggested a plant exchange again. Will discuss further at next meeting and see if we can get supplies from Keep America Beautiful organization again. Arlene will try to solicit food donations from Klement’s to serve those who work the clean-up.

Calendar – discussed various ways of communicating events using an online calendar. Google Calendar was suggested. After much discussion, it was decided that the best way is to keep posting on Facebook and Next Door and by word of mouth. A copy of the monthly calendar will be posted on Facebook.

County Supervisor Candidates – Discussed having the two candidates answer questions in an open forum. We will wait for the primary and then propose dates during the first week of March for the candidates to attend the forum. Time would be 6 – 8 p.m.

Wish List – Matt presented a “Wish List” of things for the park. It included the basketball court, pavilion maintenance, replacing rotting boards on benches. Committee decided a half court would be better than full court. Will continue to discuss at future meetings.

Fund Raising – Discussed the concept of fund raising – grants, contributions, etc. Discussed forming a sub-committee that would focus on that aspect of the FOWP. Karen will submit Wedgewood Park to her company as a possible recipient of a grant. Will continue to explore this area.
Meeting adjourned at 7:50 p.m.
